Enhanced Telecommunications (ETC) and its employees recently presented a check for $1,048 to the Margaret Mary Health Foundation in honor of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“Earlier this year our employees expressed interest in doing something to join in the breast cancer awareness effort,” explained ETC’s PR/Media Planner and event organizer Brandy Wessel. “We decided to design pink ribbon shirts and make these available as a free-will offering, with the proceeds going toward local breast cancer efforts.”

In the end, ETC employees contributed $524 toward the cause and ETC matched with a corporate donation. The proceeds were recently presented to the Margaret Mary Health Foundation and Margaret Mary Cancer Center.

“We appreciate the thoughtfulness and generosity of ETC and its employees,” said Mary Dickey, Executive Director of the Margaret Mary Health Foundation. “These gifts truly do make a difference in the lives of those battling this horrible disease.”

In addition to supporting the efforts at MMH, ETC was also proud to be a sponsor of a pink ribbon event held at neighboring Decatur County Memorial Hospital earlier this year. DCMH’s “Tee Off ‘Fore’ Ta-Tas” ‘goofy’ golf tournament celebrated its fifth anniversary this fall.

“As we all know, cancer has no territorial boundaries,” said ETC Marketing Manager Anita Fledderman. “ETC and our employees are proud to support awareness and healing in all of the communities that we serve.”
